Department of Architectural Engineering

 

1.      Faculty

The department has 76 teachers, of which 1 professor, 4 assistant professors and senior engineers, 23 lecturers and engineers, and 8 masters. It has teaching and research sections of structure, road and bridge, project management, engineering technology, planning and architectural design, and has a laboratory. Reasonably equipped with teachers and teaching resources, the Department can meet the needs of teaching and experiment.

 

2. Number of students

There are now more than 1700 students on campus.

 

3. Laboratory and equipment

The Department has excellent environment for teaching and study, and has complete laboratory facilities and instrument. It now has laboratories of building materials, mechanics, material mechanics, earthwork, road and bridge, water-proof materials, etc.

 

4. Achievements in scientific research

Besides teaching, teachers of the Department actively take part in production practices and scientific researches on architectural projects. Under good atmosphere of scientific research and scholarship, more than 100 academic articles have been published, 8 academic books published and more than 20 research projects finished and 10 prizes in scientific research received within one year.

 

5. Activities with unique characteristics

The Building Material Test Center passed metrological and qualifications certification of Henan Province in 2000. A station has been set up by the National AutoCAD certification test system for vocational and technical school in the Department.

The Department offers 7 specialties including Civil Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, Architectural Design Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, Road and Bridge Engineering Technology, Construction Project Management.
