Department of Physical Education
1. Faculty
The department has 37 full- time teachers, of which 1 professor, 6 assistant professors, 15 lecturers, 15 teaching assistants and 8 teachers with master’s degrees. Teachers in the Department insist on the educational direction of the Socialism, and stick by the educational undertakings of the Party. In recent years, teachers of the Department have been awarded “555 Academic Personnel Prize” of the Provincial Educational Department, Excellent Personnel in Professional Technology of the city, and prize in Competition on Mathematics of the University for 18 person-times, and have been awarded Civilized Teachers of Henan Province, Excellent Communist of the city, Advanced Educator of the University for 15 person-times. The Department has fulfilled its duties on the professional and public teaching on Physical Education.

There are now 127 students on campus.
3. Laboratory and facilities
It has laboratories for sports anatomy, sports physiology, ball hall, gymnastic hall, and teaching facilities for track and field, basketball, volleyball, football, tennis and badminton, which can meet the needs of teachers and students on professional teaching and training.
4. Achievements in scientific research
Teachers in the Department pay attention to scientific research. In recent years, 236 articles, 25 academic books and textbooks of the teachers have been published openly on publications of the province-level and above, and 28 scientific research projects of the state-level, province-level, and department-level have been completed, and encourages on scientific research of the department-level have been awarded for 36 person-times.
5. Activities with unique characteristics
It actively organizes teachers and students to participate in various sports contests and the Nationwide Bodybuilding Campaign activities, and was awarded several honorary titles such as Advanced Unit in Nationwide Bodybuilding Activity organized by the State Sports Administration Bureau, Advanced Unit in Nationwide Bodybuilding Activity organized by the Province, and Excellent Organizer in Henan College Student Track-and-Field Games.
